In
spite of its considerable size this
Quattroporte classic styling gives it the visual concept of
strength and speed; a long imposing hood housing a V8 engines
sloped down to a large chrome radiator grille adorned with
the traditional trident, flanked by pair of twin rectangular
headlamps.

Considered
a "business man's Maserati," the Quattroporte
III was launched by newly empowered Maserati chief Alejandro
de Tomaso and his design staff in 1976. This was a rear wheel
drive car, powered by a large V8 engine.
This
Quattroporte's low wide body, allows the low
roof line to flow gracefully, with a full-width slanting
rear window. With its width and roof height, the interior
has the atmosphere of 'a living room', without any loss of
light or visibility. Make no mistake; this car is much bigger
inside than it looks. Production years from 1979 to 1990 -
this year and model was priced in the $70,000.00 plus price
range when new. This vehicle would be easy to completely restore.

A

a powerful Maserati at an affordable price.
The
interior is comfortable, elegant and functional.
The dashboard is trimmed in rich leather with briarwood veneered
panels, housed a large rectangular easy to read instrument
panel. The anatomically designed seating was upholstered in
'glove-soft' Italian leather.
The
leather trimmed and wood-veneered center console,
housed the air conditioning controls, Sony CD 10 Disc player
, gear lever and an armrest, which doubles as a lid for the
convenient storage compartment. Naturally the car was fitted
with air conditioning as standard. This vehicle has been stored,
so it does not have current license plate. This well maintained
low mile Maserati even has the original tool kit and manuals.

The
interior: The interior of this 1986
Maserati shows regular signs of wear from age. The
interior could use to be touched up in a few places
and can easily be retouched by an interior specialist
and the trunk carpet has a spot that needs to be redyed.
The
exterior: The outside body shows regular
signs of wear with age (see photos). One door handle
cover is cracked, but all door handles, windows all
work fine. This vehicle was stored for most of its
life. Some wheel lug nuts have some surface rust on
them, but car has no rust otherwise noted. Paint is
in excellent condition overall. Tires are like brand
new. This Maserati can be inspected at our Consignment

is an auction for the sale of this 1986 Maserati Quattroporte.
This auction closes on a Sunday evening. As such,
a partial payment of $1,000 (US) is expected to be
made via Pay Pal (or by bank wire transfer) by the
successful winning bidder within 36 hours after winning
this auction - received by us no later than 6PM (Eastern
Standard Time) Tuesday.
Please
note: If partial payment is not received
following this auction's end by Tuesday
6PM -- 2NicePeople reserves the right at our
discretion, to either cancel the sale without notice
to the winning bidder, and to offer this item on a
2nd chance to the next highest bidder, or relist this
item at auction.
Once
the partial payment is made, we must then receive
